Tekton – a new kid on the algrotrading block. Branding simplified, UX simplified, marketing simplified. Algotrading – you guessed it, simplified.
When the 2Ring Markets team asked us to help brand and market their cutting edge algorithmic trading tool, we jumped at the chance! Here was an opportunity to build a new brand from scratch and help launch it in a highly competitive market.
The project took us through the entire life-cycle of building, developing and launching a new brand, and at the same time creating a brand new interface for the Tekton tool. We started with a review of the tool itself, going through multiple rounds of wireframing, design and testing to ensure our UI/UX was as simple as possible to use. Consequently, the brand tagline “Algo Trading simplified” was born.
With Tekton agreed as the tool name, we set about building the branding based on the tagline. Our approach had to be simple but highly effective and help Tekton stand out from the crowd while at the same time showcasing the benefits of trading with Tekton. Branding involved logo development, colour palette, tone of voice, imagery, iconography and style guide to help support the team during launch. We collaborated with the talented Story Line Creatives team who developed the copy writing and weekly articles for the website, helping us to bring a fresh and unique tone of voice to the brand and differentiating it from the competition.
The brand strategy was defined with the launch of the website alongside a dynamic social media launch, featuring a tongue-in-cheek video explaining the benefits of Algo trading with Tekton. Follow up videos, competitions, daily glossary, mythbusters and FAQ’s helped define the company as a fresh and quirky new entry into the market. Monthly social media planning, asset creation and brand management ensured a strong and dynamic presence in the over crowded market of algo trading.
